Spring is here and we can’t help but think of all the opportunities we’ve had this year, and how fortunate we are to have such talented friends in our life. And we can think of no one more talented than our dear friend and founder of Zak+Fox, Zak Profera. His designs, including textiles, rugs, and wallpaper, are the tangible narratives that document his travels.
We love his work because of its timeless quality; it references many different periods and styles throughout history. Both Zak and our senses of color seem to always be in sync, so we knows we can build an entire room around his prints and wovens, and it’ll come together seamlessly.
One of our favorite uses of Zak’s fabric was in the house in Victoria B.C., with its striped curtains. Adding pops of his work in every project has become a signature of sorts to us. Our current project in the historic Greystone Estate shows a variety of Zak’s work, including his wovens as well as textiles, showing you can now create a whole room from his collection. We’re really excited about a few projects we have in the works that will involve Zak+Fox’s woven collection, and another that will showcase a sea of his blue prints.
So many things to look forward to!
